At AER, we are more than a business—we are a fourth-generation family legacy that began in the 1950s with a vision of protecting our land and people.

Our mission is to reduce unnecessary burning, divert wood waste from landfills, and transform potential hazards into resources that keep Alberta strong and beautiful.

After experiencing firsthand the devastation of the 2023 wildfires—when our own family, home, and business were under threat—we made a commitment: to stand with Albertans in preventing wildfires before they begin. The recent Jasper fires have shown us all how urgent this mission is.

Through our advanced grinding techniques, we remove tree fall and burnt wood from high-risk areas and convert it into environmentally responsible products such as biochar and mulch—giving new life to what was once waste. Once grinding is complete, we restore the land: spreading nutrients back into the soil, working with arborists and forestry professionals, and ensuring the area returns to its natural balance.

We are rooted in family, driven by renewal. We are committed to turning risk into resilience, waste into resources, and devastation into rebirth.
